Hotel Revier
Hotel Revier is a 3-star, 215-key hotel located in Business Bay. The project represents a young and dynamic Swiss hotel brand that reinterprets traditional short-stay accommodation through optimised operational workflows.
edge Architects was appointed as Lead Consultant, responsible for coordinating the design and delivery of the project while translating the brand’s concept into a built environment that prioritises comfort, warmth, and relaxation for a diverse range of users, including business professionals, couples, and families.

At ground level, the hotel incorporates a publicly accessible space containing a café, business centre, and meeting lounge, strengthening the relationship between the hotel and its urban context.
The building addresses both the street and the adjacent district park. The rear elevation overlooks the park and podium-level activities, while open spaces flow around the building to shift the routine experience of guests.
Hotel rooms are screened with external louvers that reduce thermal gain from direct sunlight. These louvers integrate light control into the building envelope while also contributing to a distinctive architectural expression.
The podium level functions as a shared social space, open to both guests and the public. It integrates the pool, gym, and dining facilities within a single level. Cooling-oriented amenities, including the pool and sunbathing areas, are positioned on the north-west side of the building to take advantage of prevailing winds.
